Turkish coffee, or kahve, doesn't refer to the beans from which the coffee is made. It refers to the preperation, which is complex and can sometimes require a unique set of tools. Our coffee is very finely ground (almost powdery). One would dissolve sugar and two heaping tablespoons of coffee per cup into a pot of cold water. Once both are dissolved, the mixture is then brought to boil (do not stir, it effects the formation of the foam). Just as the coffee begins to boil, the pot is removed and the coffee is poured into cups for drinking.

Turkish coffee is usually sipped, not gulped, and drunk alongside a glass of water or liquor (depending on preference) to cleanse the palate.

The great thing about this coffee is that you CAN use our coffee to make a pot using standard coffee making machines, despite the fine granulation. Although more potent than standard brands, it is soothing either way!!!

Minas refers to the Turkish style grind which is something akin to graphite, from robust beans. This has the after effect of heightening the aroma while reducing the caffeine content.
